CHISM Sponsorship

Bio Island has just unveiled a three-year sponsorship for CHISM (The Children's Hospital Institute of Sports Medicine) worth over $1.3 million.

The Children's Hospital at Westmead is the largest paediatric hospital in NSW and is well known for providing excellent care for children from NSW, Australia and internationally. Bio Island provides premium quality nutritional ingredients that support healthy growth and development for children and is proud to be partnering with the Children's Hospital at Westmead for the next 3 years.

Bio Island will provide sponsorship and funding to support CHISM, the only paediatric sports medicine clinic in Australia that is supported entirely by donations. As the only dedicated concussion service for children and adolescents in Australia, this sponsorship with Bio Island will allow the opportunity for continued research through their concussion clinic. As an advocate for the importance of physical activity for children, CHISM supports the management of concussion and "If in doubt, sit it out" is a key message on being aware of the risk of sports concussion. In their clinic, CHISM treats a range of patients from Chronic disease/disability to exercise related symptoms and musculo-skeletal and sports related injuries.
