To do this we have added this FAQ which you can check for more information about our products. If you cannot find what you are looking for below or you are unsure about any information regarding Bio Island products, please feel free to send us an enquiry through the contact us page. Frequently Asked Questions

All Bio Island products are products made locally in Australia.
We use natural ingredients for all our Bio Island products; this means that the environment and seasons may affect the product's appearance slightly. An example of this is our Bio Island Milk Calcium for Kids which uses a natural dairy source and this may change in colour due to the cow’s diet throughout each season. The small differences is in the inactive properties only, the changes in appearance have no affect on our formulation or nutritional content. This means that colour, tastes or smell of the natural ingredients have no impact on final nutritional product. We always monitor and test each batch to ensure that the nutritional content remains the same, so you can be assured that you are receiving the same benefits each time – which is of the upmost importance. For personal preference you can also mix the capsules contents into food or drink.
This is due to using water soluble solid components and may slightly change from season to season. For example in winter the capsule shell may feel slightly harder. The capsule shell may also be affected by long distance travel and temperatures it is exposed to during long distance travel; this is why we suggest storing according the products label instructions.
Please refer to the individual product label for the appropriate storage conditions. We recommend storing your products under 30°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
We have listed allergen information on the relevant product page on our website and have started to introduce onto our labels under our active ingredients list, this is for the most common allergies such as dairy or soya oil. It is always best to consult with your healthcare professional who knows your personal health history before taking a new product if you have an allergy or intolerance.

Please note that all Bio Island products are gluten free, and contain no artificial preservatives or flavours.
Unfortunately, none of the products currently in the Bio Island product range are suitable for vegetarians or vegans due to the presence of animal products, e.g., bovine gelatine, milk powder, fish oil etc.

Bio Island DHA for Kids and DHA for Pregnancy are both suitable for vegan or vegetarians, only when the capsule is pierced and only the oil is consumed. However, this is personal preference as some vegetarians or vegans may not want to consume due to the oil having touched the bovine gelatine capsule.
The following Bio Island products use halal certified bovine gelatine capsules:

• DHA for Kids
• DHA for Pregnancy
• Milk Calcium Bone Care
• Milk Calcium for Kids

The following Bio Island products use halal certified milk powder or milk products:
• Zinc for Kids
• Lysine Starter for Kids
• Lysine Step Up for Youth
• Milk Calcium Bone Care
• Milk Calcium for Kids
For children under 5 years, cut the capsule tail and squeeze the contents onto a spoon before administering into the mouth. Alternatively, the dosage can be squeezed onto food.
We include a desiccant in all Bio Island products to ensure contents stay dry as desiccants absorb moisture from the bottled environment and maintain low humidity for our products. As we increase our production lines to meet the needs of customers sometimes the desiccants included may vary each for the same product. We use both desiccant canisters and sachets in our products. Please be assured that the desiccant used in all products does not harm the capsules, tablets, or contents in any way.
We have ensured that all nutrients from our products have an age-appropriate dosage and that each dose falls within the recommended daily intake for these nutrients. Supplements can contain broad spectrum vitamins, minerals, and other active ingredients so it is important to always read the label and use only as directed for the duration of taking the product. Advise your doctor of any medicines your child is taking. If you are concerned about the health of your child talk to your health practitioner.
Bio Island DHA for Pregnancy and Bio Island Milk Calcium Bone Care are both suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Our Bio Island Authenticator App is available for download to consumers via android and Apple app stores.

The app provides consumers with a convenient way to verify products information at anytime and anywhere; thus, consumers can gain a better understanding of Bio Island products.

Through the Bio Island Authenticator app, you can use your phone to take a photo of the brand logo on our products and upload it to the app to verify product information.

You are able to use the app with your latest purchase of Bio Island products.

Our product information identification system only includes the Bio Island Authenticator App and the official Wechat account of our general agent in China. Any other methods, web pages, tools, etc. are not officially recognized channels. To ensure the product identification information is accurate, please identify and verify the product information through the officially designated channels.

The contact us page on Bio Island official website and the official Bio Island Weibo account from our general agent in China can still provide you with product consultation services.
